Our theme for the first week of Summer is Pixar. We will be doing Pixar inspired crafts and activities, culminating with a field trip to see the brand new Pixar movie, elio.

A great show with beautiful birds. The children will learn about a variety of birds and be able to interact with some of the animals.

We will get creative and create our own Pixar Poster. Either reimagine classic Pixar poster art or create an original idea of your own.

Dress up as your favorite Pixar character! participation in spirit days are optional

A delightful and fun presentation of a variety of animals. This show has been part of our summer program for years. Tracy puts on a very entertaining and educational show that keeps the kids engaged and entertained. Children will get to interact with select animals after the show.

We will travel to Pleasant Hill movie theater to watch the new Pixar movie: Elio

For Master Chef week, we will be focusing on the Culinary world. On Wednesday we will make our own salsa from scratch and on Friday Head Chef Habib from Fiore restaurant will be coming in for a culinary exhibition.

Bring a bike or scooter to ride on the playground. A helmet that fits correctly is mandatory.

Head Chef of Fiore restaurant in Concord will be coming to our center to present a culinary presentation and teach our students a little about being a chef.

We will travel by MDUSD school bus to Rockin’ Jump in Concord. We reserve the entire site for our daycares to use exclusively from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Children can jump on the vast trampolines, play dodge ball, jump in the foam pits, or traverse the climbing walls on site.

In observance with Juneteenth, Dianna Adair daycares will be closed.

We will make fresh salsa from scratch to enjoy with our Lunch.

We will be focusing on all the colors there are in art. We will be doing a special tie dye craft and have a special visitor, Ms Alisa, to do an awesome art project.

We will be making personalized Tye-Dye shirts with the kids. It’s a messy craft but the kids love it and the shirts look awesome when completed.

We will travel via MDUSD school bus from the school campus to Chuck E Cheese on Concord. Children will eat their pizza then have an hour+ to play unlimited games in their vast arcade.

We have had Alisa in our summer program the last few years. She is a great art teacher in MDUSD and comes to our centers in the summer to do an art activity with our children. They have been super creative, fun and unique in years past and expect the activity to be the same this year as well.

We will be walking to the neighborhood community pool (about a half mile casual walk). Lifeguards will be on duty.

We will celebrate our country with firework art and some magic with special guest Germar the magician.

Children will make creative art featuring fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July

We will travel from MG campus to the Oakland Zoo via MDUSD school bus. We will tour the entire zoo before making our way back to school.

Germar has been part of our program for the last few years. His tricks are amazing and astonish both the kids and staff!

In observance of 4th of July our daycare will be closed. Have a Happy and safe 4th of July!

Highlights for Harry Potter week are, a Harry Potter Luncheon, Bean Boozled Jelly Bean day and a Monkey show.

We will have a petting Zoo on campus for the kids to enjoy.

For Harry Potter week we will have fun tasting yummy and also yucky Beanboozled jelly beans.

This Monkey show is amazing. Featuring Monkeys that have been in movies. Don’t miss this show!

We will travel to Clayton Valley Bowl in Concord and bowl a minimum of 1 game (hopefully 2) before returning to campus.

We will do all the things kids want to do! Bikes & Scooters, Dave & busters, Slurpee’s, Bricks 4 Kidz (lego bricks) and a trip to the community swimming pool!

We reserved all of Dave & Busters for all of our sites to go and have fun!

We will walk about 0.5 miles to the local 7-11 to get slurpees.

Students will work on a great lego brick build.

We will have a spirit day to dress as a pirate and do other Pirate themes arts and crafts. And what Pirate does’’t enjoy a snow cone from the Snowie Truck!

We will take a MDUSD school bus to Clayton. There we will have fun on the playground and play in the spacious downtown Groove park before heading to the adjacent Veranda Cafe to enjoy lunch before returning to campus.

As part of our Pirate themed week feel free to dress like a pirate

We will have the Snowie snow cone truck on campus so our students can enjoy a tasty snow cone.

We will be walking to the neighborhood community pool (about a half mile casual walk). Lifeguards will be on duty.

We will host an end of year Hawaiian Luau, have a dress Hawaiian day and enjoy swimming at the community pool.

We will provide a Hawaiin inspired Luncheon.

We will travel to our Bancroft campus where we will watch professional bike riders perform BMX stunts.

For Hawaiian week our spirit day give the option to our students to wear a Hawaiian inspired outfit
